HostingCon 2008 is a full three days (from July 28th to the 30th) of all the hosting industry excitement you can handle. This year boasts a schedule that is absolutely stuffed to the gills with presentations, workshops and conference sessions all culminating with a stunning Fireworks display over Chicago’s historic Navy Pier.
HostingCon is a trade show and computer conference event exclusively created and directed towards professionals in the web hosting, software and hosted services industry. HostingCon is the biggest event of its kind and aims to educate attendees about the latest trends and advancements in hosting technology, the hosting business in general and the best hosting marketing strategies. In addition to this, HostingCon provides an avenue for discussion and networking; and really, what better place to do so than Chicago’s Navy Pier? The Navy Pier, originally built in 1916 is like a playground on the water, featuring more than 50 acres of parks, promenades, gardens, shops, services, restaurants and attractions.
Among other things, this year’s HostingCon conference appears to be taking a particular interest in cloud services and how they are going to effect the hosting industry:
Mr. Rogers explained, ”Hosting providers are contemplating the challenges and opportunities cloud computing represents. At HostingCon 2008, I look forward to sharing the exciting technology developments taking place, and initiating a dialogue about the potential concerns and opportunities for hosting service providers.”
